Youth Media Festival / Screen Futures / 2 JUL

The Youth Media Festival will run concurrently with the Screen Future summit in Melbourne on Saturday 2 July. It is for young content makers and students working in the film, TV, radio, games and online spheres. For the first time ever, the festival will be programmed by ATOM in collaboration with prominent Melbourne youth media organisations ACMI Intermix, RMIT University, SYN Media and Youthworx Media.

This one-day event will be a festival of ideas and collaboration between students and young content makers from all over Australia.

  • Live Media Event: a chance to crew on a unique, professional media production
  • Talks: Hear from a range of screen industry practitioners including producers, actors and screenwriters about their craft, the industry and their tips for breaking into a media career.
  • Workshops: Develop skills and knowledge in media production (online, television, radio, VR, digital design, music composition and interactive multiplatform).
  • Media careers session: a chance to connect with established screen professionals, universities and training organisations to find out exactly how to begin preparing for a career in screen media.
