Bonnie (17)

Currently, I have been working on some solar etchings with collages and have been planning/brainstorming ideas for a short! If I’m not working on Film in Revolt, I am helping out with the Museum of Contemporary Art!

David (18)

I’ve currently been writing for my university newsletter and writing scripts. At the moment I’m getting ready to film my new short film with my friends.

Dylan (18)

Between writing for Film in Revolt and my job, the biggest project I’m working on right now is a podcast with my friend Sasha, which we’ve called Hottakes over Hookah. Inspired by a long afternoon (and eventual evening) spent in a Parisian hookah salon, we decided to start a new platform to share our ideas and spark a dialogue for young people who already are, or seek to be politically engaged and to think critically about their society.  Each episode is segmented into different discussion perspectives, as well as a game and news segment, and occasionally features guests. You can find Hottakes over Hookah on iTunes Podcasts, SoundCloud, and on our Libsyn page, and it will be coming soon to Spotify.

Jordan B (16)

I’m finalising a drama/psychological thriller script called “Mine” that I’m writing with a friend, I am planning to shoot two films over the next two weeks for various competitions and I have an American feature film and short film (they are unrelated) that I will begin editing sometime during the next couple of weeks.

Jordan P (16)

I’ve been directing and producing my first web-series, a challenge I set earlier this year to create a project larger than five minutes. I believe it’s a success as friends and family are enjoying the weekly uploads, while myself and mentors are highlighting plenty of areas to improve upon.

The show is called Chips and Chicks and the official trailer can be viewed here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOiSBFuAI9s&t=2s

Kena (17)

I have been editing my HSC Extension 2 English Interactive film recently – above is a picture of myself (smiling idiot) amongst my talented cast! I have also just covered some of the Sydney Film Fest which was absolutely amazing!! And this week I’m playing Grimsby in my school’s musical The Little Mermaid. Busy, busy, busy.

Larisa (15)

This shot was taken from my latest short film Alas, farewell. The film surrounds the issue of toxic friendships, and the struggle to cut ties with a toxic friend. I wanted to raise awareness on bullying, but more specifically the kind that is often not seen yet is the most common.

I just found out that my film has been selected as a finalist for a film competition and will be screened at the WA screen Academy!

Maddy (14)

I am currently working on songs with the intention of developing some demo tracks. I have also started writing a short film which I hope to complete in the next couple of months. Filming will be towards the end of the year.

Madison (16)

Ending the school term on a good note, I’m loving the chance to analyse films in Extension English, focussing briefly on Never Let Me Go, and more in-depth on The Truman Show for a research project. I am also super excited for my upcoming trip to Tasmania, where I’ll take photos and hopefully make a travel video by the end of it.

Michael (17)

I’ve been filming my Bloodfest 2018 short over the past few weeks as well as beginning the initial planning of a new script that I have high hopes for! The film is going really well and I’m on track to finish before the deadline. I’ve also been working on my AFTRS application portfolio which I plan to submit in October. Outside of film I’ve been hammered with school assessments which are just now coming to an end!

Nick (17)
